Animal Kingdom

First-Ever Nighttime Experiences and Tiffins opening May 27th at Animal Kingdom

Memorial Day weekend is shaping up to be a big one at Walt Disney World! Starting May 27, 2016, you’ll be able to experience the magic of nature on display at Animal Kingdom at night – for the first time ever. The theme park will awaken at nightfall with new experiences under the stars and, on May 28th, The Jungle Book: Alive with Magic live show will debut at the park!

Some of the nighttime experiences you can expect after the sun sets include nightly awakenings of the Tree of Life where animal spirits will be brought to life and the Kilimanjaro Safaris after dark where you’ll be able to experience the animals’ nighttime behavior and better tune in to their ways of life. Other new experiences will include the Harambe village in Africa becoming the place to enjoy the “Wildlife Parti” as well as Discovery Island coming together to celebrate their love of nature with the Discover Island Carnivale.

FastPass+ and dining packages for Animal Kingdom night experiences will be available starting May 21st, 2016.

Another addition to Animal Kingdom come May 27th includes Tiffins Restaurant and Nomad Lounge. Tiffins is positioned near Pizzafari on Discovery Island, near what will be the entrance of Pandora – The World of AVATAR, when it opens in 2017. Located adjacent to Tiffins, Nomad Lounge boast beautiful waterfront views for the perfect place to relax and unwind and will have hand-crafted cocktails with Africa, Asian and South African flavors; beers, and sustainable wines from those regions plus specialty small bites and non-alcoholic beverages. Both will be open for lunch and dinner!
