One thing that sets Royal Caribbean Cruise Line apart from all other cruise lines is the certificate for being Autism Friendly! This is definitely an award to be proud of in the cruise industry. This certification is well deserved with Autism families in mind. So just what does this all mean? Here are some great details about Royal Caribbean services!
The Autism Friendly Services include the following items:

Cruising Social Story
Autism Friendly Films are offered in a low-lit and low-volume environment. Guests are encouraged to freely talk and walk around during the film. (This is excellent for everyone)
• Autism Friendly Films are offered on all autism group cruises, or any cruise with at least five guests with autism onboard.
• Dates and times of Autism Friendly Film showings are highlighted in the Cruise Compass.
The Autism Channel will be available on the Quantum, Oasis, Freedom, Voyager and Radiance class ships. From their staterooms, guests will be able to use the interactive TV menu, which will display the Autism Channel under OnDemand Movies. This includes over 35 episodes that range from 4 minutes up to 1 hour. The episodes will include options such as: calming Entertainment for a child having a bad day, children shows, fun programs for children and parents to enjoy together, and professional programming.
They also offer Autism Friendly Toy Lending in the Adventure Ocean Program onboard all ships. You must request onboard and they will provide a tote bag of Autism Friendly toys that may be used in Adventure Ocean or in your stateroom.
You will be able to select Autism Friendly toys that are most appropriate for their child. Please be sure to speak with the Adventure Ocean staff regarding any need that their child may have in case you need any modifications.
