Seven Great Reasons to Stay OnSite at Walt Disney World

One of the frequent questions we are asked is why should our clients stay onsite at Walt Disney World. Here is a list we created to help you make the decision to stay onsite!

Why should I stay onsite at Walt Disney World

Your Dining Reservations- You can book your dining reservations 180 days in advance when staying onsite. Offsite guests can book those 180 days in advance. However, they can only book one day at a time. This means those popular dining experiences may not be available at the 180-day booking window as they will have to call back each day. You will be Happy when your dining reservations are confirmed and you are dining with Mickey and Friends!

Your FastPass+ Selections- You can book your FastPass+ Selections 60 days in advance when staying onsite. Offsite guests cannot book their FastPass+ Selections until 30 days in advance. The most popular rides/attractions will no longer be available at the 30-day booking window. Examples are Space Mountain, Peter Pan, Seven Dwarf Mine Train, Frozen Ever After, Soarin’, Test Track, and Toy Story Midway Mania. You will be Grumpy if you miss these popular attractions!

Disney Transportation and Parking- When you stay onsite at a Disney resort, you can enjoy the complimentary transportation to and from the Orlando International Airport (MCO). Also, you can enjoy the complimentary transportation to and from the parks from your resort. These include the Monorail, Motor Coach, and Ferryboats. If you drive to Walt Disney World or rent a car, you can enjoy complimentary parking at the theme parks, water parks, your hotel, and Disney Springs. If you are not a Disney Resort guest, you will have to pay $20.00 for parking at the theme parks. You will also have to pay for a shuttle to and from the Orlando International Airport. You will be Sleepy at the end of the your park day so you will appreciate the bus ride back to your resort!

Complimentary MagicBands- Your Magic Bands are included with your onsite visit. The Magic Bands are your room key, park tickets, dining reservations, FastPass+ reservations, and Memory Maker. Park Tickets and Memory Maker are only included if purchased with your vacation package. If you are not a Disney Resort guest, you will have to purchase a MagicBand for the cost of $12.95. Don't be Dopey, MagicBands are a must!

Extra Magic Hours- Walt Disney World opens select attractions at one park each day, either an hour before park opening or an hour after park closing. They decide which park and the hours. You must be an onsite guest to participate in Extra Magic Hours with valid theme park admission. Doc would approve extra play time in the in the theme parks!

Disney Dining Plans- You can purchase your Disney Dining Plan as part of your package and have your meals paid for before you ever leave home. The Disney Dining Plan includes 1-Quick Service meal, 1-Table Service meal, 2-snacks per person and 1 refillable drink mug per person, which is refillable at your quick service restaurant at your resort. Ages 3 and up. Don't worry, the Princesses think being Bashful is cute while dining with Royalty!
