Christmas in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter™
I had the opportunity to experience the spectacular projection show of The Magic of Christmas at Hogwarts™ Castle. The show wraps Hogwarts Castle™ with holiday spirit and vibrant colors that will delight all Harry Potter ™ fans!
The show is located in Islands of Adventure theme park in Hogsmeade ™ and will debut nightly at dusk until January 6, 2018.
Here are the things you need to know to make the most of your Holiday Experience in Hogsmeade ™.
When to watch the show:
If you plan on the first show, arrive at least an hour early to grab your viewing spot. The time guides will list the first show at dusk; this means the sky must be completely dark.
The first show will be the busiest so I suggest the second or third showing. The show will replay every twenty minutes and lasts around seven minutes. The show runs until park close.
Where to watch:
As long as you are in view of the castle, you will have a great viewing spot.
I enjoyed the area to the left of the castle. This gave us a full view of all areas. (Across from the Butterbeer kiosk) There is also a viewing area on the bridge.
Important things to consider:
Those white lines! Universal did an amazing job with crowd control. You can help by finding your spot and standing inside the white lines they have taped off for the viewing areas. If you are standing outside the white lines, they will ask you to move. Remember, it is for the safety of all guests.
It is best to find a viewing area so others cannot stand in front of you blocking your view. I struggle with short people problems. The best option is being first inside the white line closest to the castle.
Remember, arriving early will give you the best viewing options!
